Arun Chaudhary leaves Nepali Congress

Dhangadhi: Arun Chaudhary, a member of the General Committee of the Nepali Congress from Kailali, has announced his resignation from the party.

He wrote on his Facebook wall on Sunday, "I have been active in the politics of the Nepali Congress for the past few years with the great expectation of contributing to the development of the country, but now that the possibility seems to be less, I would like to inform you that from today onwards, the Nepali Congress will not hold any post. I will be active in politics with a new plan soon."

Chaudhary will now join the Civil Liberation Party. Chaudhary had become the leading candidate of Lamkichuha Municipality from Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Nepal (Democratic) in the local level election-2074 BS. He was third with 6,222 votes.

He had become the candidate from 'B' of Kailali Constituency No. 2 on behalf of the Nepali Congress. He got 11 thousand 232 votes and came second.
