38 contract coronavirus in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 38 new cases of coronavirus from the tests conducted among 5,376 persons in the last 24 hours. Currently, the number of active cases of coronavirus stands at 2,453.

In the same period, 269 persons got rid of coronavirus, the Ministry said, adding that recovery rate is 98.5 percent. There is no fatality today. The districts having more than 200 infected cases are Kathmandu and Lalitpur while nine districts have zero infection.

They are Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Mustang, Rukum Purba, Bajura, Dolpa, Humla and Jumla. Meanwhile, 97,306 persons were vaccinated against coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The number of infected ones waiting recovery in home isolation is 2,409, in institutional isolation 44, in ICU 21 and on ventilator two.
