Reconstruction of Mazgaun Airport, which had been closed for 22 years

Dhangadhi: Reconstruction work of Mazgaun Airport has started. Reconstruction work of the airport, which had been closed for 22 years, has started since Wednesday. The Civil Aviation Authority had allocated Rs 251 million for the construction of physical infrastructure.

Kancharam KS JV Construction Services has been entrusted with the construction of physical infrastructure. Necessary physical infrastructure including terminal building, runway and taxi stand will be constructed at the airport.

Similarly, 50 percent budget from the federal government, 25 percent from the state government, 15 percent from Bhimdatta municipality and 10 percent from Dodharachandani municipality will be invested for the reconstruction of the airport. Mazgaun Airport was closed in fiscal year of 20008/2009(2065 BS).
