Kailali Congress Convention: Voting continues, how many votes have fallen?
Dhangadhi: The second phase of voting for the election of Nepali Congress Kailali president continues on Thursday. Voting began in the second round after the candidates failed to get more than 50 percent of the votes in the first round.
The election committee has stated that voting is taking place in the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The total number of voters is 2572 and 1700 votes have been cast so far. Stating that voting is not going on even now, it has been stated that voting will end today. In the first round, Prakash Bam, Narayan Dutta Bhatt and Ram Bahadur Kalel contested the election on Sunday.
According to the tally on Monday, Bam received 1,169 votes, Bhatta 1,072 and Kalel 197 votes. However, as no one got more than 50 percent of the votes, there was competition between Bam and Bhatta in the second phase. Meanwhile, Kalel, a candidate close to Dr. Shekhar Koirala, has decided to support the bomb in the second phase. Kalel also announced his support for Bam at a press conference on Wednesday.
