Dhangadhi: A meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) Kailali was held on Thursday after the rate of corona infection started rising again.

The meeting has made 25 different decisions and recommended to the Chief District Officer to tighten the rules in the district.

The meeting had decided to make the vaccination card mandatory when visiting public places including hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, stadiums, airports and parks. It was also decided not to teach in physical presence and to manage the pre-determined semester and annual examinations by adopting health criteria.

It has been called not to carry more passengers than the seating capacity in public transport, not to carry passengers without masks, and to use all kinds of criteria. Similarly, shopping in India has been banned.

In addition, the DCCMC has recommended to the administration that no more than 50 people should attend religious programs such as religious processions, marriages, fasts, pasni, and death ceremonies and that they should do so only by adhering to health standards. However, various media outlets have reported that the Chief District Officer's permission should be sought for the marriage ceremony in Kailali.

However, the administration says that the decision has not been made. This is not mentioned anywhere in the points recommended by DCCMC. If so, how did the media write about it? Looking at the recommended decision, our eyes went to point number 16.

It is stated in the said point, "Except as mentioned above (in point 15), in case of conducting activities of gathering more than 25 persons at a time, it should be carried out only with the prior approval of the concerned Chief District Officer and with the approval of the concerned."

Point 13 of the same recommendation states that prior approval of the Chief District Officer should be obtained only if the program is to be held at the party palace. If so, how did you get the approval of the CDO to perform religious ceremonies including weddings? On what basis did the media spread the rumor?
