Police warns YouTubers regarding broadcasting misleading news about Kailali Das murder case
Dhangadhi: Kailali police have warned YouTubers that disseminated material about Arjun Das who was found dead in Kailali last Saturday. Youtubers, which broadcasted misleading news about the murder of a 25-year-old Das of Janaki Rural Municipality-9, have been warned.
The District Police Office, Kailali has issued a press release stating that the YouTubers who broadcasted misleading news have drawn the police's attention as they post misleading headlines, photos and content. According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson Bed Prakash Joshi, Sudhakhabar, Ramailo TV, Nirajan Online TV, YBK Online Khabar, Naya Khoj Nepal and Wordlink channel have broadcasted misleading news about the case.
He urged them to remove the misleading content broadcasted on those channels and have warned them of legal action being take if the content is not removed. Das, who had left his house on the evening of December 17, was found in the Amravati Community Forest with his head severed.
Police have claimed that the person involved in the murder has been identified. Police have kept Das's body at Tikapur Hospital for post-mortem on Monday. The relatives of the deceased have said that they will not take the body until the culprit is arrested.
