Ramchandra Shahi appointed campus head of Sophan College in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Ramchandra Shahi has been appointed as the campus head of Sophan College in Chatakpur, Dhangadhi-4. The college administration assigned him the responsibility on Sunday.

Shahi, who has long been active in the education sector, previously served as the principal of Nepal Police School in Belchautara, Tanahun.

Sophan College has become the first college in the Far West to receive affiliation for BIT and BSW programs from Kathmandu University. Both programs are expected to be operated at the college.

Responding to his appointment, Shahi expressed commitment to working with honesty and responsibility, prioritizing improvements in educational quality, development of an effective teaching system, all-round student development, and the creation of a disciplined and positive academic environment.

He also stated that cooperation from all stakeholders is essential to establish the college as a leading center for quality higher education.

The college is directed by Shailesh Kumar Singh, a young entrepreneur from the region. Singh has been active in the education and entrepreneurship sectors of the Far West for the past two decades.
