Hamal hands over Rs 51,000 for landslide victims in Bajhang

Dhangadhi: Gopal Hamal of Sundar Far West has handed over aid money to the families of landslide victims in Bajhang. Hamal handed over the aid money to Surmadevi Samaj Dhangadhi, which has started a relief campaign for the landslide victims.

Chairman of the society Dil Bahadur Khati informed that 51,000 cash assistance has been received from  Hamal. Bajhang had suffered the most human losses in the far west due to the unseasonal rains that lasted for three days from September 16 onwards. A landslide following unseasonal rains has killed 12 people in the district and left 19 missings. "The floods and landslides have taken a heavy toll in the far west," said Khati, who heads the society.
