Thapa appointed as the new Chief District Officer of Kailali
Dhangadhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred Chief District Officer of Kailali Khagendra Prasad Rijal to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Rijal, who had been in charge of Kailali has been transferred by a ministerial decision of Home Minister Bal Krishna Kan.
Secretary Kiran Thapa will replace him in Kailali. Thapa has 10 years of experience working in the Ministry of Home Affairs and subordinate offices. Until recently, he was the Chief of the Meeting and Administration Division at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in the Far-West.
He was transferred from the office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers to the Ministry of Home Affairs only ten years ago. He hails from Sunsari and has previously held the post of Chief District Officer in Taplejung, Pachthar and Rautahat.
"I got the responsibility of Kailali CDO only yesterday," he said. "I will move forward as per everyone's suggestions."
