Dhangadhi: Yogendra Chaudhary, a member of the Central Active Membership Investigation Committee of the Nepali Congress, has said that the active membership dispute in Dadeldhura district is baseless. He said that the committee has unanimously terminated the active membership of Dadeldhura.

Controversy has erupted at the center over the active membership of Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba's home district Dadeldhura, while district president Karna Bahadur Malla's faction in Dadeldhura has rejected the active membership list and boycotted the convention process. District Chairman Malla Paksha was absent from the ward convention held on September 10.

A frontal strike has already started against Chairman Deuba over Dadeldhura's active membership. However, the investigation committee has claimed that the ongoing dispute over the active member was planned. Chaudhary says that this is a planned dispute to discredit the chairman. The dispute in Dadeldhura was not raised by Deuba but by the district chairman. Chaudhary, a member of the active membership scrutiny committee, said that the Dadeldhura dispute was just propaganda to bring Deuba into the controversy.

He said that there was no reason to have a dispute with the chairman as there was a planned attempt to get Deuba into a dispute and the investigation committee had decided on the issue unanimously.
