Construction of 346 religious tourism infrastructures in the Far West in one year, most of the plans is for community temples

Dhangadhi: The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment of the Far West has implemented 346 religious tourism schemes in the last fiscal year 2077/07.

Most community temples have religious tourism infrastructure. The ministry has included the protection of 25 waterfalls and lakes, construction of 24 parks, construction of 50 footpaths, construction of 9 watchtowers, and protection of 8 forts among the main achievements.

The ministry has also included the production of a documentary, registration of 5 homestays, and construction of 3 museums in the achievement of one fiscal year. The ministry has programs worth Rs. 720 million in the tourism sector and these programs have been implemented by spending Rs. 560 million in the last fiscal year.

Out of the budget of Rs. 580 million in the industry and commerce sector, Rs. 510 million has been spent. Nine thousand two hundred and eighty-five new industries have been registered in the last fiscal year. The highest number of 6,379 agricultural industries have been registered while the lowest number of informational industries has been registered.

Technology has been transferred to 384 industries. A grant of Rs. 73.486 million has also been distributed to 90 industries. The ministry has spent Rs 31.7 million out of the budget of Rs 35 million for land conservation.

The Ministry has implemented 111 landslide-gorge construction, 180 river bank protection and embankment, 91 recharge pond construction, 84 water source protection, 23 irrigation canals, 6 damaged land protection, and 18 infrastructure protection programs.

Similarly, Rs. 570 million has been spent in the forest sector out of the budget of Rs. 826.06 million. The Ministry has renewed the action plan of production of 345,247 saplings in the forest area, construction of three high-tech nurseries, tree planting in 278 hectares, control of forest encroachment in 90 hectares, registration of 121 forest cases, transfer of 58 community forests and 339 community forests. Included in the annual progress report.

Out of the total budget of Rs 2.78 billion, the ministry has spent Rs 2.84 billion or 74.75 percent. According to the ministry, the percentage of expenditure has also increased in each fiscal year. But its achievement has not been seen.
