Global IME Bank's profit rises by 42 percent

Kathmandu: Global IME Bank, formed by merging two big commercial banks, has earned a profit of over Rs 4 billion in the last fiscal year 2077-78.

The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 4.12 billion and an increase of 42 percent over the previous year. The bank had earned a net profit of Rs 2.90 billion in the previous year. The bank's share capital has risen by 4 percent to Rs 21.63 billion.

While, the net interest income has increased by 9.47 percent, deposits by 26.43 percent, and loans by 20.26 percent. The bank's non-performing loans have also declined to 1.42 percent from 1.76 percent. The bank's earnings per share (EPS) have also increased from Rs 15.33 to Rs 19.08.
