Budget for the Far-Western Provincial Government passed by a majority
Dhangadhi: The budget of the Far-Western Provincial Government has been passed by a majority. The budget presented by the state government in the state assembly for the coming fiscal year 2078/79 has been passed on June 15.
The main opposition party Nepali Congress, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), and UML's Oli group disagreed therefore a budget of Rs 30.33 billion was tabled on Monday morning and passed by a majority. The budget was passed with the support of the government-led UCPN-M and the UML's Madhav Nepal group.
Responding to a question raised during the discussion on the budget earlier, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prakash Bahadur Shah expressed his commitment to immediately rectify the duplicate, money, name, and address plans in the annual program booklet.
