Minister Prem Ale claims to have bought health supplies from his funds
Dhangadhi: Minister for Forests and Environment Prem Ale claimed that he has purchased health supplies for District Hospital Doti and Seti Provincial Hospital Dhangadhi from his personal funds.
His team revealed that he purchased and distributed health supplies from his own funds and not from a grant from the Chinese government, contradicting a news article published about him previously regarding him distributing oxygen cylinders granted by the Chinese government with stickers promoting himself.
According to Minister Ale's secretariat, 60 oxygen cylinders, 4 oxygen concentrators and 150,000 surgical masks have been distributed to the District Hospital Doti and health institutions in Doti.
Similarly, 50 cylinders of oxygen gas and 50,000 surgical masks have been distributed to Seti Provincial Hospital Dhangadhi, said Minister Ale's personal secretary Hemant Regmi.
It is said that the health products were purchased from BIDH Management Pvt. Ltd. Lalitpur. Similarly, Regmi added that they stuck those stickers on the oxygen cylinder to inform the people of Doti about his deeds but the minister was unaware of the stickers being affixed.
However, the same picture has recently gone viral on social media.
Minister Ale has also been criticized for using health materials as propaganda materials even during disasters.
