13,972 returnees from India examined, 1,486 test positive for Coronavirus
Dhangadhi: A total of 35 returnees from India who entered Nepal through the Gauriphanta checkpoint on Friday tested positive for Coronavirus.
According to Ganesh Saund, in-charge of Gauriphanta Health Desk, 1,000 people entered through the checkpoint on Friday. Of those, 286 were tested for the virus using the antigen method while 35 reported positive for Coronavirus, he said.
So far, 13,972 people have been examined out of which, 1,486 people tested positive.
The infected people found at the checkpoint have been kept at the quarantine set up in Kanari in Dhangadhi.
