A family unable to get a vehicle to carry the corpse of a Coronavirus patient

Dhangadhi: The relatives of a 62-year-old man from Belauri Municipality-9 of Kanchanpur who died due to Coronavirus at the Corona Temporary Hospital of Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi on Tuesday have been unable to get a vehicle to carry his corpse.

According to Dilip Shrestha, information officer of the hospital, he was initially diagnosed for pneumonia. However, he tested positive for Coronavirus on November 6. Narayan Prasad Awasthi, son-in-law of the deceased, told Dinesh Khabar that he has been unable to get a vehicle to carry the corpse for cremation.

He said, "We have been trying to get an ambulance or any other vehicle since Tuesday but we have failed to get any confirmations. My family is in distress.” However, Shivraj Joshi, information officer at the District Administration Office, Kailali said that the Nepal Army team is preparing to cremate the body.
