Policemen held accountable for Amar Bahadur’s death due to negligence.

Dhangadhi : A 45-year-old Amar Bahadur Chand from Phulbari in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 14 was arrested by the Border Police Post on Tuesday night and was found dead in the toilet on Wednesday morning.

An investigation committee formed under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Rajib Basnet to investigate the death of Amar Bahadur Chand who was found dead in the toilet of Border Police Post Bahuliya. The investigation committee has ruled that the police was negligent in the case of the death of Amar Bahadur Chand, a local of Fulwari.

Acting Chief of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Singh informed that action has been taken against the three policemen on the recommendation of the investigation committee.

"The investigation committee has also concluded that it was a suicide," he said. The process of taking action against three persons including the supervisor of the outpost has moved forward. After the incident, two policemen including Deputy Inspector of Police Jung Bahadur Singh in-charge of the Border Police Post in Bahuliya have been charged with negligence.

Similarly, a team led by Basnet is also investigating the incident of Roshan BK aged 19, who was found dead in the custody of District Police Office in Kailali stated Senior Superintendent of Police Singh. Initially, four days were given for the investigation, however they have added five extra days for additional investigation.
