44,000 people tested for Coronavirus in Far West, 11.5% infected

Dhangadhi: About 44,000 samples tested in Far-West. According to the Health Directorate, 43,826 people's swabs were collected from all the nine districts of the state.

22,159 samples were examined in  Dhangadhi laboratory, 16,236 samples in National Public Health Laboratory and other laboratories outside the state and 5,247 people through Dadeldhura Hospital laboratory.

According to the directorate, 45,678 swabs have been collected for the test so far and test reports of 1,852 are yet to come.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population,about 11.5% or 4,979 people tested positive for the virus. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the highest number of 1,289 people were infected in Kailali. Infection has been confirmed in 795 people in Doti, 737 in Achham, 623 in Bajura and 580 in Kanchanpur.

Similarly, 312 people from Dadeldhura, 301 people from Baitadi, 297 people from Bajhang and 45 people from Darchula also tested positive.  So far, 4157 people have been discharged and 11 have died.
