2819 cases of Coronavirus cured in Far-West; 1420 active cases

Dhangadhi: A total of 68 people infected with Coronavirus were discharged from various hospitals and isolation wards in the Far-West on Monday.

Narendra Karki, chief of the Health Division at the State's Social Development Ministry, told a regular press briefing that 34 people had been discharged from Kanchanpur and 34 people from Kailali. 

At the same time, the number of people returning home after recovering of corona infection has reached 2,819 in the Far-West.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, 540 people have been discharged from Achham, 535 from Doti, 459 from Kailali, 449 from Kanchanpur, 299 from Baitadi and 267 people from Dadeldhura.

One hundred and seventy infected people have been discharged from Bajura, 87 from Bajhang and 13 from Darchula. Similarly, 53 infected people of the far-western region are undergoing treatment at various hospitals while the remaining 1,420 are under quarantine at home and at the local level. Eight people have already died.

According to the ministry, 21 people are undergoing treatment at Tikapur Hospital, 18 at Mahakali Hospital, 10 at District Hospital of Achham, 53 each at District Hospital of Bajura and Doti.

The isolation of Seti Provincial Hospital designated by the state government as Corona Hospital is vacant. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected people in the Far West has reached 4,247.
