Delay in swab sample collection for the next five days

Sample collection of potentially infected Coronavirus patients has been put on halt for five days. According to the Regional Health Directorate, the collection of throat swabs has been stopped for five days, as previous samples have yet to be tested. Today, the Regional Health Directorate issued a circular to all health offices requesting them to stop collecting swab samples for the next five days. Dr. Guna Raj Awasthi, Health Director of the province, said, “We test 250 samples every day in the Dhangadhi laboratory. We already have 1,083 samples to test before we collect more samples.”
