Nobel Corona Virus: boon or curse

Every human passes through various ups and downs. S/he experiences various good and bad events till the end of life. But only those who are patient and discipline withhold every event with ease. It is true that everything has good and bad effects; advantages and disadvantages. Science, which tends to ease our life, might cause threat to life. Carelessness during scientific inventions is a curse of science to human life rather than boon whose trending example is corona virus outbreak.
Nobel corona virus (Covid-19) has become a global pandemic infection about 30 lakh people among 205 countries of world causing about 200000 plus deaths. Started from early December 2019 from Wuhan, China; this contagious and fast spreading virus has closed the whole world for more than a month. This hidden microscopic enemy has created many nuisances to every dimensions and aspects of human life including social, mental, physical, emotional, economic, natural, cultural, political, educational, psychological and so on. Although covid-19 has caused many problems in human life, it has created positive impacts on some of the disciplines of human life but the negative impacts have suppressed the positive vibes.
The pandemic of corona virus with unknown and uncertified treatment, medicine or vaccine has created threat to humans not only from health point but also from every dimensions of human life. The only certified method to control this contagious virus is social distancing and lockdown approved by the WHO and health specialists of most of the countries. At the present situation, while the whole world is closed; the human kind has to face a lot of problems.
From health point of view, corona virus is highly infectious virus that threatens the life of old aged people and the one who is suffering from other terminal diseases however it can infect every one regardless ones’ age, gender, country and power. The aspects of human life that is most affected by Covid-19 is economical aspects. While, most of the world is experiencing lockdown, the economic activities are also locked. The industries, factories, usual services and other sectors of employment are closed, many people have become unemployed. Lockdown’s main impact has been on those people who are under poverty like laborers, street hawkers, beggars, farmers etc. who earn to join hands and mouth from day-to-day-work. The production of most of the countries is nil and foreign trade becomes zero. The economic growth rate is decreasing world widely. Agricultural harvesting has not been completed and they are not getting proper market which is impact on economy in current days.
The international as well as national boundaries of most countries are sealed. It has closed the internal together with external tourism. This situation has prevented people to visit their friends and relatives. It has also restricted pilgrimage. Educational institutes are closed in most of the countries. The entertainment sites like cinema halls, parks etc. are completely closed. People are not allowed to come out except their emergency. Poor people are not even getting food to eat. People are strictly prohibited to celebrate to their feasts and festivals during this peak incident of this virus.
This has made people fall in depression besides making disciplined which causes various social problems. On the other hand, this lockdown has positive impacts too. People get time to be with their family. Some of us have great opportunity to learn and discover new things with this leisure time. Natural learning for many students, who are living in well-facilitate family, like cooking, washing and other some house-hold works are boosting up the quality of students. Students can also utilize this time by reading books as curricular as well as out of syllabus. It has been nearly two months where the almost whole world is closed. Industries, factories and vehicles are not being operated which has created a positive effect on environment. Natural resources are not being haphazardly utilized. Pollution is being decreased. Nobel corona virus has made people careful about personal hygiene.
In context of Nepal, it has been like “Man purposes, God disposes” because the whole world is behind how to save mankind? How to make vaccine of covid-19? But Nepal is moving towards corruption and power game in politics. People here are not following social distancing and lockdown. They are just going places they want to go. It is just like digging one’s won grave. Poor people are not just getting food to eat but politicians are busy in corruptions. We are frequently hearing the cases of buying used and damaged health equipment, politicians taking relief materials for own use. This all should be finished to get rid of corona virus because we need to break an egg after all to make an omlet.
