Paucity of doctors and health workers to offer obstetric services in Navjeevan Hospital

On Wednesday, The Ministry of Social Development decided to send a team of health workers to the Navjeevan Hospital, including doctors from Seti Provincial Hospital to offer obstetric services. Director of Navjeevan Hospital Dr. Yogendra Ojha said, “None of the health workers have reported from Seti Provincial Hospital to help with obstetric services. There are a lot of people coming to the maternity department. Our employees are taking three shifts a day and Providing services till two o'clock in the night. While Seti Regional Hospital claims to have received no notice from the Ministry of Social Development to send manpower.” Chairman of Seti Provincial Hospital Management Committee Durga Joshi said, “We are waiting for the directives from the Ministry of Social Development. The ministry will decide how many employees to send. But we have not received any notice so far.  On Wednesday The ministry of Social Development discussed the problems and limitations in Seti Provincial Hospital to offer obstetric services. Therefore, it was decided to start maternity services in Navjeevan and send health workers from Seti Provincial Hospital.”
