Man involved in black marketing arrested

A man has been arrested on the charge of black marketing of surgical goods. A police team from the Metropolitan police range, New Road arrested Anil Gupta of Priya Traders on Friday evening for selling hand sanitizers at exorbitant price.

A resident of India, Gupta runs a shop at Bangemuda in ward no. 25 of Kathmandu metropolis. He was found selling a hand sanitizer that cost 110 rupees for 300 rupees, according to DSP Sunil Jung Shah. Police also confiscated 814 units of hand sanitizers from him. The sanitizers are worth Rs 256,520 in the current market price. Further action has been initiated as per the prevalent law, DSP Shah said. (RSS)
