Four trapped in a tunnel in Bajhang

Four workers have been trapped inside a tunnel of Kalanga Hydro Power under construction at Bungal Municipality in Bajhang.

The condition of the laborers who entered the tunnel on Sunday afternoon for work is unknown, informed Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganesh Bahadur Bam. According to him, Mahendra Shahi, Karna Shahi, Mahendra Saud and Sher Singh have been trapped inside the tunnel. The tunnel which is 800 meters long is suffocating due to lack of oxygen reach. A team of Nepal Army has been deployed in the area along with a helicopter from Kathmandu.
