20 Contestants Reach Grand Finale of Sudur Karnali Singing and Dancing Star

Dhangadhi: The Sudur Karnali Singing and Dancing Star competition has reached its grand finale, with 20 contestants advancing to the final stage after outstanding performances in various rounds.

Organized with the aim of taking hidden singing and dancing talents from the Far West and Karnali regions to the national and international level, the grand finale will feature 12 contestants in the singing category and eight in the dancing category.

In the singing category, Lalijan Pariyar, Bikash Raj Sapkota, Yogesh Mijar, Maheshwor Thapa Magar, Dharmaraj Timilsina, Dharmendra Dhami, Rajendra Dayal, Sundarnath Yogi, Pratiksha Oli, Bhagwati Rawat, Shiv Kumar BK and Amrit Kumar Chand have reached the finals.

Narendra Raj Regmi and Sameer Pariyar are the judges for the singing category.

In the dancing category, Umesh Pariyar, Hanish Mouni, Sapna Chudara, Ritu Giri, Sirjana Bik, January Rokaya, Reshmi Thagunna and Humanshu Bohra have reached the finals. Bhavani Regmi and James Joshi are the judges for the category.

The organizers said winners from first to fifth place will receive cash prizes, audio and music video production opportunities, contracts and other opportunities.

The first-place winner will receive Rs 200,000 in cash, audio and music video production worth Rs 400,000, a two-year contract and an opportunity to visit Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

The second-place winner will receive Rs 70,000 in cash, audio and music video production worth Rs 300,000 and a one-year contract. The third-place winner will receive Rs 30,000 in cash, audio and music video production worth Rs 200,000 and a six-month contract.

The fourth-place winner will receive Rs 13,000 in cash and an opportunity to produce an audio and music video worth Rs 100,000. The fifth-place winner will receive Rs 5,000 in cash and an opportunity to produce an audio and music video worth Rs 50,000.

The program's board of directors includes Nawaraj Kalikote. Sudip Joshi is the program director, while Sushil Rauchal is the judging advisor. Samriddhi Bhatta will serve as the guest judge, and Anita Dhami will host the program.

Nikhil Acharya and Devendra Pandey are the cinematographers, while DJ Ashok will handle sound management.

Vianet Internet Partner, Isewa Voting Partner, Khabar & Live Media Partner, Astra Consulting Group Support and KTS Smokehouse America are the main partners of the program. Pramila Silwal is the producer of the competition from America.

The organizers expect tough competition for the title in the grand finale after the best singing and dancing talents reached the final stage. Talents from various parts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali will compete in the final round by presenting their art, culture and creativity.

The organizers claim that the competition will provide a major platform for local talent and contribute to identifying new talent in Nepal’s music and dance sector.
