Kailali Muslim Community Donates Rs. 300,000 to Rasuwa Flood Victims

Dhangadhi: Expressing grief over the significant loss of life and property caused by the recent devastating floods in Rasuwa, the Muslim community of Kailali has donated Rs. 300,000 for the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.

The amount was collected at the initiative of Kailali Muslim Society Attariya, Nuri Jame Masjid Pashupati Tole Dhangadhi and Gausiya Jame Masjid Purano Bhansar Road Dhangadhi.

A campaign to support the flood victims was launched after Friday prayers. A significant amount was collected through institutional and individual contributions. Special prayers were also offered for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of flood-affected citizens.

The collected Rs. 300,000 has been deposited through QR into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The severe flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa has caused significant loss of life and property and displaced many citizens.

Dr. Meraj Alam Ansari, Chairman of Nuri Jame Masjid Pashupati Tole Dhangadhi, said the fund was collected at the community level with the aim of providing relief to victims during the difficult times caused by the disaster.

He said that during disasters, all communities should join hands with mutual unity and cooperation and fulfill their social responsibility.
