Kanchanpur: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal has said that all three levels of government must take responsibility for resolving land-related problems.

Speaking at a program organized in Dodhara Chandani Municipality of Kanchanpur on Monday, Minister Rawal said the government is giving high priority to resolving land-related issues and urged provincial and local governments to provide necessary support.

“If one government does not support, the distribution of land ownership certificates to squatters across the municipality may be stopped,” she said. Minister Rawal said discussions have been held on policy reforms to address the problems in the municipality.

“If the problems of the victims had been reported on time, they would have been resolved by now,” she said. “Regardless of which party they belong to, we should stand together for the victims.” She urged those affected to remain confident that their concerns would be addressed appropriately.

Minister Rawal also held discussions with officials from the Land Administration Office, Survey Office and other municipalities at the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, regarding land-related issues.

She also inspected the under-construction Majhagaun Airport in Mahendranagar and the dry port in Dodhara Chandani.
