Dhangadhi Mayor Hamal Leads Official Team to Badimalika with Goddess’s Doli
Dhangadhi: A government team led by Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Gopal Hamal has departed for Bajura for the second time, carrying the doli of Goddess Badimalika.
The team began its trek to visit the Badimalika Temple and perform special worship in accordance with traditional rituals. The team was given a religious and cultural farewell from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City with flower garlands, abir and panchebaja.
The Badimalika Temple in Bajura is regarded as an important pilgrimage site from religious, historical and cultural perspectives. It is said that since the time of the then Jumla and Doti kingdoms, government worship teams have been visiting Badimalika with doli, panchebaja and salami on special dates.
Continuing this historical and cultural tradition, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has sent a government team to Badimalika with a doli for the second time. The team will perform special worship and darshan at the Badimalika Temple.
The Badimalika Yatra, associated with religious faith and cultural identity, has recently gained importance in terms of religious tourism. It is believed that the traditional Doli Yatra and religious activities will also contribute to promoting the historical culture and religious tourism of the Far West.
