Seti Provincial Hospital’s new building completed after eight and a half years

Dhangadhi: The newly constructed building of Seti Provincial Hospital has been completed eight and a half years after the construction agreement was signed. The building was formally handed over to the hospital management during a program held on Thursday.

Tulsiram Kharbuja, Head of the Federal Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Dhangadhi, handed over the newly constructed building to Balram Jaishi Bhatta, Chairman of the Seti Provincial Hospital Management Committee.

Under the Integrated Health Infrastructure Development Program, the Federal Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Dhangadhi, through the Urban Development and Building Construction Department, had invited bids for the construction of the building. Following the bidding process, a construction agreement was signed with Rabina/Thegim JV, Dhangadhi Kailali, on Kartik 28, 2074 BS.

According to the office, the construction work was substantially completed on Asad 25, 2083 BS. A total of Rs 237,934,484.84 was spent on the construction of the building, including price adjustments, incidental expenses and value-added tax.

The newly constructed building is a two-storeyed structure. The ground floor covers an area of 2,832.02 square meters, while the first floor covers 2,729.38 square meters. The office stated that necessary auxiliary structures and other construction works included in the agreement have also been completed.

After a prolonged wait, the new building is expected to support the expansion of treatment services at Seti Provincial Hospital. The hospital management believes that the facility will help provide health services to patients in a more convenient and systematic manner while strengthening the hospital’s health infrastructure.
