Branch Manager of Agricultural Materials Company Limited, Hemraj Joshi, informed that 450 metric tons of DAP and 500 metric tons of chemical fertilizer urea have been sold and distributed from here. “We are distributing the fertilizer we have in stock to farmers through 150 cooperatives here,” he said. “Kanchanpur requires 10-10 thousand metric tons of DAP and urea fertilizer every year for wheat and rice cultivation.”

Agricultural Materials Company Limited has stated that it is selling DAP at Rs 2,394 per bag and urea at Rs 944. “We are distributing fertilizer through cooperatives that have taken dealerships throughout the district,” he said. “The shortage of fertilizer is a nationwide problem. Even in that, the quota of the Far West is less.”
