Government forms committee to study Bajura–Humla border issues

Kathmandu: The government has formed a committee to study the technical aspects related to the border between Bajura and Humla districts and submit a report.

A meeting held at Singha Durbar today under the chairmanship of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal decided to constitute the committee under the coordination of Sushil Dangol, Deputy Director General of the Survey Department.

The committee will include one representative each from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, as well as the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province. The Director of the Survey Department has been assigned the role of member-secretary.

The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of Land Madan Bhujel, Press and Research Expert to the Prime Minister Balendra Shah Deepa Dahal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Ananda Kafle, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Prakash Dahal.

Also present were Director General of the Survey Department Prakash Joshi, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Bhim Budha, Director of the Survey Department Dayanand Joshi, and Survey Officer Jyoti Dhakal.
