Sudurpaschim’s Sarvesh Ojha awarded prestigious 'Twitchell Fellowship' in the US
Kathmandu: Sarvesh Ojha, a young Nepali scientist from a remote area of Sudurpaschim Province, has achieved notable international recognition. Born and raised in a modest environment, Ojha is currently pursuing his PhD in the United States.
He began his academic journey in Dhangadhi before moving to Kathmandu and eventually to the United States. Through consistent hard work and dedication to his studies and research, he has established a strong academic presence at the university level.
Ojha’s research focuses on the real-time measurement of key neurochemicals such as dopamine and norepinephrine. His work is expected to contribute significantly to understanding the relationship between the neuroimmune system and may help provide clearer insights into the causes and processes of various neurological and neuroimmune diseases.
He has recently been awarded the prestigious Twitchell Fellowship by the University of Cincinnati. The fellowship, valued at over Rs. 1.5 million, is considered a major milestone in his research career.
Ojha’s achievement extends beyond personal success, serving as a representation of the capabilities and potential of Nepali youth on the global stage. His journey is regarded as particularly inspiring for students and young people from the Far West.
