Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University Assembly appoints 6 members

Dhangadhi: Six new members have been appointed to the University Assembly (Senate) of the Martyr Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University located in Gauriphanta, Geta.

At a meeting of the University Assembly held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Education Minister Sasmita Pokharel, the members were nominated in accordance with Section 7, Sub-section 2 (b) of the University Act.

Those appointed include Jayraj Awasthi, Dr. Damber Bahadur Pal, Hema Bhatt, Prof. Dr. Sangita Raj Bhattarai, Dr. Labdev Awasthi, and Dharmadev Bhatt. Among them, Awasthi, Pal, and Bhattarai had previously served as Senate members.

According to the University Act, experts from the fields of science and technology, management, law, education, sociology, and anthropology can be appointed as members of the University Assembly.

Following the dismissal of office bearers appointed through an ordinance, the government has proceeded with a new appointment process.
