Lekhraj Bhatta unveils election commitment prioritizing education, health and industrialization

Dhangadhi: Nepal Communist Party (UML) candidate for Kailali Constituency No. 4, Lekhraj Bhatta, has made his election commitment letter public.

Organizing a press conference at his residence in Attariya, Bhatta stated that education, health, agriculture, industrialization, tourism promotion and physical infrastructure development have been given top priority. The commitment letter outlines a special plan aimed at the overall development of Sudurpaschim Province and Kailali District.

Plan for improving education and health
The commitment includes providing quality education, introducing a technology-friendly teaching system and constructing necessary physical infrastructure in community schools. Initiatives to enhance services and facilities for teachers and employees, ensure professional security and provide affiliation to the Social Security Fund have also been incorporated.

In the health sector, emphasis has been placed on expanding specialist services in basic health centers and urban health clinics, along with managing required manpower and equipment. The plan also highlights making quality health services and health insurance programs effective, particularly targeting women, children and senior citizens.

Emphasis on agriculture, industry and employment
Bhatta has committed to introducing modern technology, advanced seeds, fertilizers and mechanization in agriculture, expanding irrigation facilities, promoting agricultural insurance and establishing agro-based industries. The commitment also mentions initiatives for cold storage and market management to protect and promote vegetables, fruits and local products.

Plans have been included to expand the industrial sector toward industrialization, develop industrial corridors and conduct skill-based training programs to make Dalits, backward communities and below-poverty citizens self-reliant.

Tourism and infrastructure development
The commitment letter states that priority will be given to the protection of religious sites and cultural heritage, establishment of museums and promotion of homestays under religion, culture and tourism promotion. Physical infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, embankments, electrification and drinking water management, has also been prioritized.

Bhatta has appealed to voters to re-elect him for development, stability and prosperity, asserting that he will implement the commitments made to the public.
