Nepali Congress central working committee endorses election pledge
Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee, in a virtual meeting held today, unanimously passed the party’s pledge for the House of Representatives member election scheduled for Falgun 21.
The meeting, chaired by party President Gagan Kumar Thapa, approved the pledge, Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal informed. The party is set to make the pledge public at a special function organized in Janakpur today.
The event will be addressed by President Gagan Kumar Thapa, Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma, and other central-level leaders. According to party spokesperson Devraj Chalise, the pledge event in the historic and cultural city of Janakpurdham is not merely a political program but also a significant opportunity for the party to convey a message of self-respect, inclusive democracy, and national unity.
Chalise further stated that a press conference will be held in Kathmandu to provide details about the pledge unveiled in Janakpur. The briefing is scheduled to take place at the Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa at 4:00 pm today.
