Dhangadhi: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has faced criticism and dissatisfaction over its ticket distribution in Kailali for the upcoming elections.

The party has fielded Komal Gyawali in Kailali-1, KP Khanal in Kailali-2, Laxkan Tharu in Kailali-3, Hari Regmi in Kailali-4, and Anand Chand in Kailali-5.

Provincial President Prakash Bista had been solely recommended by the RSP regional and provincial committees for Kailali-1. However, after Komal Gyawali was awarded the ticket, Bista posted on Facebook that his claim remains unresolved. Party leaders and workers in Kailali-1 expressed anger that Bista did not receive a ticket despite being unanimously recommended.

Similarly, while the party had recommended Dilliraj Joshi, Khemraj Koirala, Min Bahadur Bohara, Shivraj Pant, Hemraj Bhatta, and Satyaraj Rawal for Kailali-4, the ticket was instead given to Hari Regmi, originally recommended for Kailali-5. Local leaders and workers voiced dissatisfaction that their recommended candidate was overlooked.

Anand Chand received the party’s ticket for Kailali-5, despite the regional committee having proposed other names, including Bhim Bahadur Bohara, Hari Regmi, Laxman Tharu, and Jasu Bhatta. A party leader acknowledged that many members are unhappy with the central decision.
