Chief Minister Shah calls for strengthened drug control measures in Far-west province

Dhangadhi: Far West Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah held a meeting with Provincial Police Chief, Deputy Inspector General Om Prakash Rana, to address the rising issue of drug abuse in the province.

During the meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, Shah directed authorities to take effective measures to control and discourage drug abuse, highlighting its adverse impact on the youth. He emphasized the need to further enhance the role of the police in curbing drug-related activities and strengthening the overall security system in the province.

In response, DIG Rana assured the Chief Minister of the provincial police’s commitment to implementing these directives, stating that the police are actively working to control drug abuse while maintaining peace and security across the province.
