Sixth president’s running shield competition kicks off in Gaumul

Bajura: The sixth President’s Running Shield Competition at the Gaumul Rural Municipality level in Bajura commenced today.

Rural Municipality Chairman Hari Bahadur Rokaya formally inaugurated the event, stating that sports play a vital role in the holistic development of students. He expressed confidence that the competition will promote healthy rivalry and strengthen unity among schools in Gaumul.

According to Gaumul Sports Development Committee Chairman Bal Bahadur Rokaya, the competition features events for both boys and girls, including volleyball, kabaddi and athletics. Participating schools showcased various tableaus, cultural presentations and artistic displays during the program.

Rural Municipality Vice-Chairman Sita Thapa expressed her commitment to further strengthening sports activities in the coming days.
