Geta Medical University receives 10 applications for registrar, Vice-Chancellor deadline extended
Dhangadhi: Shaheed Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University in Geta, Kailali has accepted applications from 10 candidates for the post of registrar. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has extended the application deadline for the post of vice-chancellor until November 20, citing insufficient applications.
The approved applicants for the registrar position are Chandra Prakash Bhatta (Lalitpur), Pramod Kumar Yadav (Dhanusha), Double Bahadur Dhami (Bajhang), Khemraj Joshi (Kanchanpur), Shiva Prasad Sapkota (Kailali), Damaru Paneru (Kanchanpur), Govinda Singh Bista (Baitadi), Shila Mainali (Bara), Bhim Bahadur Chand (Baitadi), and Padmaraj Joshi (Kailali).
The advertisement for both posts was opened on November 15 for 15 days. A recommendation committee will shortlist three candidates for each post based on presentations and interviews, and the Prime Minister will be recommended to appoint the registrar from among the shortlisted candidates.
Eligibility criteria for vice-chancellor include a PhD or equivalent in a medical education-related field and at least 10 years of professorial experience. For the registrar, candidates must hold a master’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in teaching, research, health administration, or a first-class gazetted post in higher education.
The age requirement for both posts is between 35 and 61 years as of the closing date, and applicants must not be members of any political party prior to applying.
