Unified Socialists to address internal disputes and left unity in central committee meeting
Kathmandu: The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialists) has called a central committee meeting in Kathmandu on Kartik 2 to discuss unification efforts with various leftist forces.
According to Damodar Aryal, deputy head of the party’s Central Propaganda Department, the meeting will focus on concluding ongoing unity talks with leftist, communist and socialist parties. It will also deliberate on the party’s theoretical perspective after unification, leadership management and other related matters.
The meeting aims to resolve ideological disputes and internal organizational conflicts within the party. Many leaders have suggested that the party should first work to consolidate leftist forces before formal unification.
In addition, the meeting will discuss mobilizing all party committees and mass organizations to actively engage in the election process and define the party’s role in ensuring that the House of Representatives election is held on the announced date. The gathering will also assign responsibilities for advancing dialogue and cooperation between pro-democratic republic and constitution forces to address the current political crisis, safeguard the republic and the constitution, and create a stable environment for elections.
Earlier, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli had called on the Unified Socialists, who are working on party unification under the Socialist Front and with other leftist forces, to join efforts toward unity.
