Young man and woman arrested with heroin in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police have arrested a young man and a young woman with brown heroin in Kanchanpur.

The arrested have been identified as 19-year-old Pushpa Joshi and 22-year-old Suraj Bista, residents of Bedkot Municipality-2. They were detained while returning to Nepal from India at Gaddachauki, Bhimdatta Municipality-11, in the district.

A joint police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, and the Area Police Office, Gaddachauki, recovered 3 grams and 730 milligrams of brown heroin from their possession. Police said that further investigation into the case is underway.
