Moderate rain forecast for four provinces today

Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast moderate rainfall in several parts of the country today, particularly across four provinces.

According to the Division, the monsoon low-pressure line is currently positioned south of its average location in the west and near the average in the east. This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in other hilly areas of the country, while the rest of the Terai region will see partial cloud cover.

Moderate rain is likely in some areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, in a few places of Madhesh and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in the remaining parts of the country.

Tonight, the Division has forecast generally cloudy conditions in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with partial cloudiness elsewhere. A few places in these provinces may experience moderate rainfall, while one or two places in other hilly regions are also likely to receive rain.
