Baitadi’s Anami Pujara honored with best nurse award for exceptional service
Baitadi: Anami Janaki Pujara, a nurse at the Basic Health Center in Sigas Rural Municipality-4, Kandhar, Baitadi, has been recognized with the “Best Nurse Award.”
The award was presented at the 13th Health Awards program held in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Health News Newspaper.
Pujara gained national recognition after saving a newborn’s life by performing mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration for six hours without any equipment. The organizers noted that she received the award for demonstrating exceptional service, courage, and humanity in a remote area.
During the program held on Monday, awards were presented to doctors, nurses, health workers, campaigners, and health institutions across nine different categories.
