Fuel tanker driver and co-driver injured in attack in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi—In Dhangadhi, Kailali, an unknown group attacked the driver and co-driver of a fuel tanker with sharp weapons, resulting in injuries.

The incident occurred at a tanker parking lot near the Dhangadhi-2 Road House Cafe on Saturday night. Driver Harendra Deuba and co-driver Anil Deuba were attacked by individuals using sharp weapons.

Harendra sustained injuries to his right wrist and left leg, while Anil was hurt on his left arm and wrist. The attackers also vandalized several tankers, breaking their front glass. The District Police Office, Kailali, reported that the attack was triggered by a dispute over tanker parking.

Police have arrested three suspects: Vikram Malla, 18, and Arun Bogti, 19, both detained earlier, and Doraman alias Pushkar Dhami, 16, who was apprehended later. The main suspect, Muskan Singh, 23, remains at large.

His motorcycle and shoes were seized from his home during the police investigation. Both victims are receiving treatment at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi. The police continue their efforts to locate the remaining suspect and investigate the full extent of the vandalism.
