Dhangadhi: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Far Western Province is to be split.
It has been agreed between the ruling party about splitting the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development to arrange the sharing of ministerial posts. After the CPN-UML and Maoists took the position they have decided to form two ministries, the ministry is about to be split.
As soon as Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal gets the vote of confidence, Maoist and UML will participate in the Far West government with two ministers. Akkal Bahadur Rawal, a member of the provincial assembly from the CPN-Maoist Center, said that preparations are being made to participate in the government within the next couple of days.
The Sudurpaschim Province Assembly now has 11 members including the Speaker of the Maoist party. Likewise, CPN-UML also has 11 MPs including the Deputy Speaker. The Maoist Parliamentary Party has said that the CPN-UML and the Maoists now have the same status in the parliament. Because of that, UML and Maoists are participating in the government with two ministries each. Provincial Assembly member Rawal said that it is not yet certain who will be the new minister.
