Nepali Army Helicopter Rescues Pregnant Woman from Bajura District Hospital

Bajura: In a remarkable rescue operation, a pregnant woman has been airlifted from District Hospital Bajura to receive urgent medical care via a Nepali Army helicopter.

Today, 22-year-old Susthita Khadka, hailing from Himali Rural Municipality-1 Bichchya, was transported to the provincial hospital in Surkhet for advanced treatment, as confirmed by Nripraj Giri, Information Officer at District Hospital Bajura. Khadka, who underwent a cesarean section two days ago, experienced abdominal swelling, necessitating immediate medical attention.

Bhimkant Paudel, Chief District Officer, disclosed that upon receiving a distress call from District Hospital Bajura regarding the deteriorating health condition of the patient, swift action was taken. Under the auspices of the President's Women's Upliftment Program and through the coordination of the Ministry of Women and Children, an initiative was launched to facilitate the woman's evacuation via an army helicopter.

The timely intervention and collaborative efforts resulted in the successful airlift of Khadka, ensuring her access to critical medical care in Surkhet.
