6 Individuals, Including Ward President, Detained in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: In Kanchanpur, six individuals, including a ward president, have been detained by authorities.

Among those arrested is Ward President Kisan Singh Rana of Belauri Municipality-9. The remaining individuals in custody are Subdev Rana, Bhangi Rana, Rudra Rana, Dukhso Rana, and Suraj Rana.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Dangi, acting as the spokesperson for the District Police Office Kanchanpur, stated that the arrests were made in connection with the investigation into the death of 18-year-old Anush Rana, a resident of Belauri Municipality-9. Additionally, the court has extended the detention period for further questioning. Anush Rana's father, following his demise on the 24th of Kartik, has filed a complaint accusing the detained individuals of abetting suicide.
