Rural Road Upgradation Initiative Launched in Chure Region of Kailali
Dhangadhi: The process of upgrading rural roads within the Chure Rural Municipality area of Kailali has commenced.
The initiative aims to upgrade unpaved roads that were previously mere tracks, with a project duration spanning twelve months. Umeshraj Joshi, an engineer representing the rural municipality, disclosed that contracts have been finalized for the upgrading of several routes, including Chaumala-Garbha Darbar, Chaumala-Khairala, Sahajpur-Aladnigali, and Deurali-Maure roads, with work already underway.
These roads, initially opened as tracks, have been subject to gradual degradation over time. However, with the allocation of supplementary grants from both federal and state governments, the upgrading process has now commenced. Engineer Joshi further elaborated that construction contracts have been formalized with the rural municipality, and work is scheduled for completion by June of the current fiscal year.
