Far West Chief Minister Identifies Challenges in Implementing Basic Rights
Dhangadhi: Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah of the Far West Province has underscored the challenges hindering the implementation of basic rights for the province's populace. This statement came during his address at the Democracy Day function organized by the state government in Dhangadhi.
Chief Minister Shah highlighted various obstacles faced in ensuring the fulfillment of basic rights, including geographical constraints, poverty, limited access to education, and healthcare. He emphasized the prevalence of issues such as poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, insufficient entrepreneurship opportunities, inadequate healthcare facilities, and infrastructural limitations in the Far West region.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Shah expressed concerns over delays in the allocation of constitutional rights to the state government by the federal authorities, as well as hindrances in the formulation of necessary legislation. These factors have impeded the state government's ability to effectively serve the interests of its people.
Asserting the state government's commitment to fostering cooperation and coordination among the three tiers of governance, Chief Minister Shah reiterated the constitutional imperative of prioritizing collaborative efforts between the federal, state, and local levels to drive development initiatives forward.
