Authorities Seize Illegal Goods, Including Motorcycle, Worth Over One and a Half Lakh in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: In a recent development, authorities in Kailali have successfully intercepted and recovered a cache of customs evasion goods, including a motorcycle, in Dhangadhi.
The Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city police reported the seizure of sugar, gutkha, spices, coke, and a motorcycle, collectively valued at approximately 153,000 NPR, from the area of 17 Pathari. Kailali Police confirmed that the confiscated goods and motorcycle have been transferred to the Customs Office in Trinagar for further legal proceedings.
Furthermore, a separate operation in Belauri Municipality-8, Calcutta, Kanchanpur, led to the discovery and confiscation of customs evasion goods. Steel plates, bowls, trays, and related items, with an estimated value of around 15,240 NPR, were seized by the police.
These proactive measures by law enforcement agencies underscore their commitment to combating illegal activities and maintaining regulatory integrity in the region.
